CryoWorks didn't start as a business. It started in a garage, with a lifelong obsession for machines and the way they're meant to look.
Whether it's a meticulously maintained weekend toy, a cherished classic, a high-performance track car, or an exotic supercar, we understand the dedication, passion, and countless hours that go into preserving something truly special.
That's because we're enthusiasts ourselves. CryoWorks was born from a lifelong passion for the automotive industry and an obsession with attention to detail.
Like many enthusiasts, we spent years restoring, modifying, detailing, and maintaining vehicles to the highest possible standard. Throughout that journey, we discovered a common challenge - traditional cleaning methods often fell short when it came to safely restoring hard-to-reach areas, delicate components, and years of accumulated grime without risking damage.
After extensive research and firsthand experience with the latest cleaning technologies, we discovered dry ice blasting - a revolutionary process that delivers exceptional cleaning results without abrasives, chemicals, or water. It was immediately clear that this technology represented the future of premium automotive cleaning and restoration.
CryoWorks was established to bring this world-class service to vehicle owners who demand more than just a clean surface. We specialise in restoring engine bays, underbodies, suspension components, wheel wells, drivetrains, and intricate mechanical assemblies to a level that traditional cleaning methods simply cannot achieve.

We don't see vehicles as jobs. We see them as investments, achievements, and passions.
Every vehicle that enters our workshop is treated with the same care and respect we would give our own. We take the time to understand the vehicle, its history, and the expectations of its owner before a single pellet of dry ice is used.
Our attention to detail extends beyond the cleaning process itself. We focus on delivering results that enhance presentation, assist with restoration projects, improve inspection visibility, and help preserve the long-term value of each vehicle.

// Robbie
I’m Robbie, founder of CryoWorks.
I’m 44, born and bred in Rotorua, and I’ve grown up around cars and motorcycles. Anything that goes fast and looks cool has always caught my attention, but my passion goes beyond driving and riding, I’ve always loved the detail and care that make a vehicle stand out.
After many years as a business owner and working in the construction industry, I’ve brought that same work ethic and high standards to automotive detailing. I take pride in the small things and the details that others might miss. That’s what CryoWorks is built on.
I have a real soft spot for JDM cars, alongside a personal collection of motorcycles and European cars, mainly BMW M cars.I’ve been married for nearly 25 years, and we have two boys, aged 11 and 15, who share many of the same interests. Passing that enthusiasm on to them feels pretty special.
At the end of the day, I’m someone who loves cars and motorcycles, and the craft of bringing out their best.

// Marshal
I’m Marshal, the Blasting Technician and Operations Manager here at CryoWorks.
I’ve been around the automotive industry for pretty much my whole life. Growing up around family-owned mechanic shops gave me an early appreciation for cars, how they work, and the pride people take in their vehicles. Over the years, I found myself taking a particular interest in helping mates build their cars and finding ways to take a good vehicle and make it something exceptional.
I spent five years working in automotive refinishing, which is where I really developed my eye for detail. From restorations through to the final stages of a build, I’ve worked on a wide range of projects, and that experience has shaped the way I approach every job we take on at CryoWorks.
I joined CryoWorks after recognising an opportunity to combine my skills, experience and passion for the automotive industry and put them into practice through the services we offer.
